ACTORS: take one character and sensorialize the sociology. Write about three major elements of this character, sensorialized: 1. GC 2. Objective (not plot) 3. Spine.

Keep it under 2 pages.
Essay: introduce, develop, sum (beginning, middle, end). This means at least 3 PARAGRAPHS.

Assignment Week 5 for Week 6

"Deference and Demeanor" is chapter 2 of Goffman. I'll point out some good concepts in it - next week.

Attend to JOURNAL: look for breakdowns in D and D in our era: woman to man, white to black, youth to age, poor to rich, student to teacher: differential ritual standards, and standards breaking down. JOURNALS will be checked! Now's the time to catch up!

May certainly include a "critique" of class style.
