Today, I realized how different i am from the rest of my classmates. A couple days ago, we had a discussion about religion, and many had the opportunity to share different experiences they had growing up. Some argued that they were forced to attend church by their parents, others were told not to do "bad" things because they were going to get punished by God, and others shared how they consider themselves to be atheist. I am not going to lie, this makes me upset.I believe in God, I pray everyday before i go to sleep and every morning before i head to school because I choose to.
Someone in class mentioned that people follow a "book" that doesn't belong to them. Well who was he referring to? American people or Catholics? The "book" he was talking about is called a Bible, the Bible is Jewish for the simple fact that Jesus was Jewish. People around the world, including myself respect the bible, even though it doesn't have my name, or was written by my Ancestors , the bible does belong to me, because i believe in it.

Very interesting, well I totally agree with you about the Bible. Jesus was not an American citizen lol.And...well...regarding religion, that was the way you were raised, the way I was raised, what we (and others too) believe. People should learn how to respect others beliefs.
I don't think people were trying to offend you. I see where you are coming from but that person might have had a different experience with religion than you did. So that's just their personal opinion. I wouldn't take it to heart.
Of couse, people were not trying to offend me, they were saying what they thought and what they believed in, however, there is a certain way to express ourselves and boundaies that shouldnt be cossed....
i might have been one of the ones!please know I respect the Bible!
I think it has absolutely great lessons in it.
I was trying to say how cavalier I HAD BEEN about it in college - but how I have returned to a respect for natural law and God.
also - I wish to add - I believe FAITH is the most important aspect of the mind-soul (life)
don't worry. there are many people that have a strong faith by choice. (me included) but the discussion we had in class isn't meant to make anyone feel bad, it simply was a form of sharing what everyone believes, but i totally know where you are coming from. some people unfortunately, just don't think much of religion, but that's alright. :)
very good Marr5N!! you seem so nice :) lol so ROCKIE100, relax and enjoy life! So will I!!!
